can I stick with it? how will it change me?
How’s it going so far? Don’t ask.
I’m off to an incredibly slow start. I’ve managed to clear floor space in my office so I have enough room to practice yoga, and I won’t have to disturb anyone’s sleep to do it. Tomorrow I’ll post another video - this is just a quick update. It’s an especially busy week for me. On top of normal - teaching five classes and working on freelance projects - I presented Show in a Box to the local web design/development community last night, and am getting ready for a road trip to Tucson this weekend. Have I done any yoga yet? No. But at least it’s on my mind. That’s a start. I *have* to do it once this week, hopefully twice, and that frequency has to go up next week.
I did learn about a fun web site last night and I have decided to use it to track my moods daily for this project. It’s called nehmehyeh. I think eventually I’ll be able to display my mood calendar here on this site, but for now you can see how my days are going on my nehmehyeh page, also listed under Links in my sidebar.
I’m not going to beat myself up for not getting off to a hot start. This is that resistance to change thing. I’ll get it eventually. Video tomorrow. And if you have suggestions for car yoga, I’m all ears.
This site documents one woman's struggle to bring about positive change in her own life through the regular practice of yoga. The point is not to be an expert or create how-to videos. The point is to share my journey as I try to incorporate yoga into my life as a new habit. How will it change me? How will I overcome my own resistance to change? Join me weekly and find out.
