		<description>I really like the DVD so far. Each episode is 15 minutes each, so I can follow them in order or mix and match to customize what I'm doing. I do feel I need to add a live class eventually, but the DVD can keep me going when I don't have time or money for a class.</description>

		<description>Beth, I love your recommendation to pay for and attend a class. I actually found a fabulous class that I LOVE - it's for Bikram yoga (the kind you do in a heated room). Unfortunately I can't afford it! But I've started saving for it. I hope to sign up for a year or for six months, but I may end up buying a block of 25 classes, or an unlimited month-long pass. But you're absolutely right, I know I would do better initially in a class where the teacher can see what I'm doing and help me correct.</description>

When I lived in the lake district and was doing a lot of yoga, it was because I signed up for a course.  Going to a class every week is really really good and if you have paid for it already and you stand to lose money if you don't go, then you tend to go!  I didn't know it then but I had a brilliant yoga teacher.  He knew everyone in the class' name, their strengths and weaknesses.  We'd all moved on from where we started when we finished the course.  Yoga in Brighton, by contrast, is really factory-like.  So, I'd advise finding a really good class which focuses not just on asanas but also on breathing and meditation.  What I have found amazing about yoga is the chance to learn how to pay attention to the smallest details - you learn to think about your body in an entirely different way - on a micro scale - and be so much more aware of how what you do to your body in one way affects it in other ways too.  When I'm properly in that headspace, it makes me feel different about the world too, pay close attention.  My yoga practice has kind of dropped off recently... as you say, "too busy, too busy".  I think I am properly going to have to start again though because I've started running (in training for the half marathon I am doing on 17th February) which completely wrecks my body and I need to soothe it with yoga.  My next physical challenge is going to be a triathlon.  Not so much running!</description>

I feel as I get older that something like yoga becomes much more attractive as an engagement. I was always incredibly fit when I was younger, but in 2000 I got quite ill and am still recovering really. Something about yoga's pace and methods are deeply appealing now.
